Fatigue is not something that we should dismiss easily. 

With an ever-growing numbers of populations that feel tired and has acknowledged fatigue as their main causes, this is something we need to look further. 

But what happen in our body when we have fatigue? Why is it producing so much damage to our lives?

What Is Fatigue?

Fatigue is a feeling that you feel throughout your day, this can be any time of the day. This feeling has several aspects: mental, and physical. On the physical side, you feel tired, and you do not have enough energy to do your daily activities, and you feel uncomfortable when you need to do them. On the mental side, you feel weak, and you cannot concentrate properly, you cannot control your emotions, or you cannot respond effectively to different situations. Although fatigue usually happens at cumulative stage where physical and mental aspects will collide. 

With fatigue comes pain and discomfort. You cannot sleep, you cannot relax, and even watching TV can make you feel like you just took a nap for longer than an hour. But it's not just about being tired, the state of fatigue also produce numerous signs and symptoms that deteriorates your health and your life. Several things that you may be feeling and having are:

4. Reduce Focus and concentration

How Does Fatigue Affect Productivity?

One of the primary sources of frustration in our lives is how we're spending our time, energy and valuable resources on these repetitive processes that actually isn't adding any real value to our work. It's about where you put all the time and focus that could bring you more and better values in life. But, to do all of this we need energy. Energy to do our task, to think straight, to feel happy and to enjoy what we are doing. Without good energy level, our ability and capabilities will start to decline.

In a fatigue conditions, you have many health problems that alter your ability to perform and produce good result. From declining focus, inability to be presence and perform task and altered judgement. If you are in any business or even an entrepreneur, these are the kind of problems that can give you setback far too much. Take this lightly, you could easily make decision that can change your business forever, probably not in a good way.

What Can You Do to Overcome Fatigue?

Many people struggle to find the latest breakthrough in medicine on how to increase their energy and reduce fatigue. But what the majority fail to see is that there is now "Ultimate Drugs" nor supplements or herbs or food that can give you the energy you craved for in an instant.

For the majority, eating habits is very condensed with the ads we see in the media, the friends we used to hang out with, the events that we attended. This will show you how our environment shapes how we think and also how we eat. Thus, determined our daily habit. 

1. Rest Mindfully

Rest is such an important factor to recover from fatigue. Sleeping longer doesn't work for people who feel tired. This is because we are trying to replace a bit of your body's energy with rest. Although sleeping longer won't help you feel rested, a good meditation can get you more and more restful and restored. Make sure you connect with your breath. Set a timer so you can visualize yourself resting. Take five minutes for each body part you want to sleep on. Breathe deeply while you are trying to relax. After you have done this for a few minutes, look at the time. Take out the timer.

2. Eat Well

We are what we eat. Fatigue occur when we are not having enough energy in our body. The energy production can increase so high that we also need to balance it with the right consumption of food. Naturally we will think that eating more will be the answer. But when we try to develop good and stable energy production, we need to be aware of how many calories we’re putting into our plate. Since these calories are not necessarily good for our health. The key is always in balancing our nutrition and ensuring that our body get the nutrition it’s needed such as vitamins, minerals and also antioxidants. These are the keys to optimizing our energy production. 

3. Develop good sleep habit

Again, how we sleep determines our health. It’s also true when it comes to overcoming fatigue. Mind you that sleeping is different from rest. And that we need them both to keep us healthy. Maintaining good sleep habit should always be a priority when you try to manage and reduce your fatigue level, no matter what the cause of fatigue is. It should be the first thing you look before going into treatment or even taking medications.

Most of the changes to our life are behavioral, and the most fundamental is our habits. Changing your lifestyle is not about taking some magic pill or using a new gadget that will change your life overnight.
