10 Reasons Why Sugar Are Dangerous For Your Body

We all heard that sugar is not good for us. And that sugar is dangerous for our health.

But, what exactly is the danger of excess sugar in the body?

  1. Teeth susceptible to holes
    One of the most common and very easy to see is the onset of damage to teeth and gums with excess sugar consumption. From cavities to inflammation of the gums, they are caused by high sugar intake especially when not accompanied by good oral cavity and dental hygiene.
  2. Joint pain
    Joint pain or pain in other areas is not caused directly by an increase in blood sugar. But excess sugar consumption can trigger pain that has been around for a long time. This can happen because the body’s excess sugar levels will provoke an inflammatory reactions that eventually increases inflammatory cells throughout the body. If the person already has joint pain, then excess sugar in the body will increase or trigger an inflammatory reaction in the area that might have previously recovered or disappeared.
  3. Sagging and easily wrinkled skin
    It’s not just health that is threatened by excess sugar, one’s appearance can be disrupted. Excess sugar levels will cause dehydration of the skin which triggers wrinkles, dark circles under the eyes and dry skin.
  4. Damaging the heart
    The liver is a place where sugar and carbohydrates are processed. Too much sugar content will force the heart to work harder. If this happens continuously, the heart can be damaged due to the workload being too heavy.
  5. Heart disease
    Excess sugar levels will stimulate inflammation. And this inflammation can also occur in areas of the heart and blood vessels. High levels of inflammation in the heart or blood vessels will force the heart to work harder than being able to hoard plaque in the heart’s veins. If this condition continues, heart damage can no longer be avoided.
  6. Damaging the pancreas
    Excess sugar levels are the number one trigger for diabetes in today’s society. Diabetes occurs because the pancreas is no longer able to produce suitable insulin to compensate for the levels of sugar that are too much. If this happens continuously the pancreas can be damaged and insulin production will greatly decrease.
  7. Kidney disorders
    Excess sugar levels will also interfere and damage the kidneys. This is a ummah caused by diabetes that has already occurred which will damage small blood vessels in the kidneys. Vascular disorders that occur will make kidney work decrease and if this continues continuously kidney damage is inevitable.
  8. Overweight
    Being overweight is the impact of excess sugar intake which is also very easily seen. Generally those with high sugar levels will also find it difficult to hold hunger and it is difficult to lose weight that has already risen.
  9. Mood disturbance
    The sugar cane also affects the mood. Generally in those with excess sugar levels will have mood disorders that are not always visible, but will appear with small triggers even as small as weather changes.
  10. Sleep problems
    Consumption of sugar by night will increase energy levels and alertness in a person. This of course disturbs the sleep process that should have started.
